The secret hidden agenda of this month (and maybe of my life) is to say this: you’re not the hero.
Me? I want to be the hero. You? You do too. How do I know? Because I’m making an assumption that everybody is like me, and that we all kind of want to be important, and somehow we think that if we are important, then it means we are loved.
Actually though? We are not that important.
We ARE however fully loved.
The hero of the story is Jesus.
He is capable of carrying the weight of the burdens that others hand to us.
I’ve shared this truth before and I will share it everyday of my life until everybody hears: Jesus is the hero of the story.
That’s the only message I know to be true.
The one thing I have NOTICED the most in my life is this:
Jesus is Lord.
That changes everything.
Noticers have learned the true joy that comes from recognizing that they are not the hero of the story.
Noticers have learned the true joy that comes from recognizing that the world does not revolve around them.
Sheesh. It’s far more fun living a life where I am not the hero, and where I KNOW the hero is able.
Noticers aren't the hero of the story.
Are you a Noticer? I hope so!
