I've heard it said, many many a time, "don't forget in the darkness what you learned in the light". That's a good word. Totes. For sure.
Don't forget in the light the words you heard in the dark.
There's purpose in the sorrow, in the pain, in the hard. There's wisdom we learn only by walking through the muck. There's truth we cling to in storms that I think we sometimes forget in sunshine.
So whatever you're walking through, no matter where your feet are planted: don't forget! Don't forget that the finished work of Jesus is enough. It's enough to comfort you in sorrow and spur you on in times of ease.
